Winning at Network Marketing: Creating Copy That Sells

Hello there! Alyson Lex here, and today I want to share with you some amazing secrets to creating copy that sells. Whether you’re a network marketer, an affiliate marketer, or just someone looking to boost their sales game, this is the blog post for you. So, let’s dive right in!

Understanding the Emotional Root of Motivation

One thing I’ve discovered in my journey is that motivation is a complex beast. It varies from person to person and can even differ between competitors in the same market. To help explain this concept, let’s talk about my trusty timer cube.

You see, I have ADHD, and managing my time has always been a struggle. But this timer cube has been a game-changer for me. It’s not just a simple digital timer; it’s a physical cube with different increments of time on each side. When I start working on a task, I set the cube to the corresponding time limit, and it keeps me accountable.

Now, you might be wondering what this has to do with copywriting. Well, understanding the emotional root of motivation is crucial to understanding why people make buying decisions. People buy based on emotion and justify it with logic. So, when crafting your copy, it’s important to tap into those emotional triggers that resonate with your audience.

The Power of Storytelling and Transcribing Tools

One of the most effective ways to engage your audience is through storytelling. The story doesn’t have to be personal; it can be about anything that resonates with your target audience.

For example, I often start with a story about my picky-eating six-year-old. People can relate to the struggles of parenting and the challenges of making nutritious meals for kids who are selective eaters.

If you ever find yourself struggling to put your thoughts into words, don’t worry—I’ve got a handy solution for you. Transcription tools like can help you overcome writer’s block. Simply speak your thoughts out loud, and let the tool transcribe them. This way, you can easily convert your spoken words into written copy.

Balancing Self-Promotion and Audience Focus

When it comes to writing copy, one of the biggest mistakes I see is focusing on oneself too soon and too often. While it’s essential to share your expertise and accomplishments, it’s even more important to address the pain points and aspirations of your audience.

Think about it. When you visit a website or read an email, do you want to hear all about the person behind the product? Or do you want to know how that product can solve your problems and improve your life?

I bet it’s the latter. So, make sure your copy shows a deep understanding of your audience and how your product or service can make a difference for them.

Finding Inspiration and Subject Line Tips

I’m always on the lookout for inspiration when it comes to writing compelling copy. One website I find amazing is from the UK. It’s a fantastic source of ideas and proven copywriting strategies. I also receive regular emails from renowned figures like Bob Proctor, which are excellent examples of effective copy.

If you’re struggling to come up with an attention-grabbing subject line for your emails, I have a few tips for you.

There are three types of subject lines that work well:

  • put it all out there,
  • curiosity, and
  • teaser.

The “put it all out there” subject line is great for promoting deadlines and savings, especially if your audience has already shown interest in your topic.

Curiosity subject lines, on the other hand, are random and off-the-wall. They use questions to grab attention.

Finally, teaser subject lines give a sneak peek of what’s to come in the email.

Final Thoughts: Take Charge and Act Now

When it comes to achieving your goals, whether it’s losing weight, growing a business, or anything else, be specific. Don’t settle for vague aspirations or broad intentions. Instead, take charge of your life and create a clear plan.

As an example, let’s say you’re a picky eater who wants to lose weight. Traditional diets might feel restrictive and boring, but fear not! I have a solution for you—a keto cookbook designed specifically for picky eaters. It provides flexible meal options, expert guidance, and even supplements to support your weight loss goals. With this ultimate picky eater keto cookbook, you can regain control of your health and eating habits.

So, what are you waiting for? Don’t just dream of a better life; take action. Book a call with me today and get started on your journey towards success. Together, we can achieve greatness.
